Maven's Forge
Every time we face a new challenge we must renew the process of self-evolution, or we rust.
Self-evolution is the alchemy of success. It is the iron ore of knowledge, the fuel of char- acter, the fire of experience, the hammer of intelligence, the catalyst of persistence and the cool water of wisdom that determines our future.
We face new challenges every day. You can't escape that challenge, but you can do a lot to prepare and overcome!
Sometimes, the challenge may be new to you but there is a high probability that someone else has already met that challenge successfully. When we add the catalyst of a mentor to the alchemy, it won't take as long to figure out how to respond to the challenge.
Sometimes, the challenge is totally new and the old solutions just won't work. This is the time for like minds to unite and form new metal in the forge of creativity.

Wikipedia Says
According to Wikipedia, the term Maven was first recorded around 1952. It is derived from a Yiddish word (meyvn) which means understanding.
It was later popularized by Malcolm Gladwell who suggested that "mavens may act most effectively when in collaboration with connectors - i.e., those people who have wide network of casual acquaintances by whom they are trusted, often a network that crosses many social boundaries and groups. Connectors can thus easily and widely distribute the advice or insights of a Maven".
Our Maven's
In our definition, we include the notion that Mavens use knowledge and understanding as raw material to forge new ideas and workable solutions for the new challenges we face every day; the solutions that will determine whether we rise above the the challenge, or slip into a tailspin.
For the most part, the Mavens who appear in these videos have something more to offer than the degree they hang on the wall. They generally have a unique insight, a noteworthy point of view, or experiences and life lessons worth passing on. And as Mavens often do, they are willing to share that insight. They might be current business executives, entrepreneurs, authors, coaches or anyone in the community who has useful or interesting stories to tell.
Some of the Mavens on this site are willing to engage you in Maven's Forge, others prefer that you contact them via their web site, and some don't want to be contacted at all. Their video page will contain the appropriate information to that effect.
